Through the fight team headed up to Westminster once again for this year’s British Citizens Awards. After receiving his award last year, the BCA invited Shane back to Westminster to take on his new role as an Ambassador for the British Citizen Awards.

Shane and Maria spent the day meeting the award medallists and the organisers of the event and were treated to an open top bus ride around London with the rest of the team, before the official award ceremony in the evening, hosted by TV presenter Michael Underwood.

Shane gave a speech accepting his new role as ambassador and what the awards mean to him. He also talked about what inspires him to do what he does.
